Take A Nap

Studies show that sleep deprived individuals have a bigger appetite and tend to eat more calories. You know that quick-fix-pick-me-up that you now depend on everyday, that could be a major red flag. Check your eating and sleeping habits. I'm a coffee drinker, but I've noticed too much could have an affect a day or two down the line. When my sleep is off one night from too much caffeine, the residual issues can cause a ripple in my productivity for at least one full day. (this is just me)

Mental health issues, such as depression, are strongly linked to poor sleep quality and sleeping disorders. Even a small loss of sleep has been shown to impair immune function.





This is why I'm a strong  believer in Napping. With a good power nap the energy boost alone is worth the effort.  Then there's the improved mood, memory, less fatigue and lower stress all of which could equal increased productivity. 5 to 10min in your car may be all you need to hit the finish line and bust the tape.
