Do you find money intimidating?  Does the thought of comparing receipts to your online bank statement add just a tinge of anxiety to your demeanor?  Over the years I've heard countless people, (me included) say things similar to “money isn't that important” or “the more money you have the more problems you have” or “rich people are greedy or selfish”.  Yet no matter how much the negative know it all’s would profess their wisdom, when it came down to life or death emergencies or simply putting food on the table and a roof over head, money will always rank right up there with oxygen.  This was a truth hands down with everyone.
